LEGO 2015 Pre Black Friday VIP Invite Sale Items

I got an invitation to the Lego Store for the first time in 2015 and wanted to post the items that were on sale for VIPs, nothing too special, I didn’t buy any of the items on the list. I was interested in the Town Square but settled for the Cinema Modular with more pieces and less of a play set feel too it. The freebies were the ones everyone can get, the calendar and the Lego Gingerbread House. So here’s the list:

2015 VIP Invitation BF Pre Sale Items

Black Friday Amazon Lego Price Watch

Here’s the sets I’m watching on Amazon. I wouldn’t go near a brick and mortar store on Thursday or Friday. Lego will apparently have some sets on sale as well along with another chance to get the Holiday Exclusive set #2 Ice Skating. From my understanding they will go live on the site at Midnight Friday morning, which most people would refer to Thursday night at midnight.

LEGO VIP “Deals” Today Only

It’s Lego Black Friday preview day for VIP members. And the “deal” is this: Double VIP points on all purchases, free shipping on any purchase and the Ice Skating Holiday Set #2 if you spend $99 or more. And that’s it. Some countries get sets % off but not the good old USA. I don’t think I really need the holiday set. It’s probably a good day to order from Pick-A-Brick though. You could order literally one piece and get free shipping and double points.

Lego Black Friday – A voice of reason

It’s coming. Don’t panic.
I thought I’d try to be a voice of reason for the upcoming holiday shopping craze that the stores are mostly successful in implementing. First of all, on black Friday, don’t leave the house. In the age of the internet, you can always find a better deal online and you don’t have to subtract the cost of gas from the amount you saved. It doesn’t really appear that there are that many good deals, I’ve seen mention of maybe 5% off from the Lego Store if you spend $100. There should be VIP deals this weekend. Of course there is the second free holiday set, but it is really quite weak. The two minifigures in it are about as far from exclusive as you could get. So, sit back, relax, and pick out the good Lego deal here and there from Amazon or Lego or Target and don’t try to buy every set. Some sets just aren’t that good. As a rule, if you’re not setting out to get the set or were never interested in the set until you saw it on sale, don’t buy it unless it is 50% off or more. You’ll be a lot happier this way – trust me.
